The Industrial Cybersecurity Club: five years on guard of cybersecurity

The anniversary meeting of the Industrial Cybersecurity Club (ICS-Club) took place in Moscow. The heads of information security departments of the Russia's largest industrial companies at the tenth meeting of the ICS-Club discussed the latest legislative and regulatory changes in the field of information protection and security of critical information infrastructure.

Dmitry Grigoriev, Director of the ICS-Club, Vice-President for Information Security of Norilsk Nickel, opened the ceremonial meeting by addressing the participants: "Over the five years of its work, the ICS-Club has transformed from a place for exchange of opinions and experience in the field of industrial cybersecurity into a full-fledged platform for public-private dialogue on the most acute issues of information security. The ICS-Club has united the flagships of the Russian industry - leaders in the field of information security. But its development would not have been possible without the active participation of Club members. We are grateful to you for your support and cooperation, which we hope will only become stronger in the future."

One of the key speakers of the anniversary meeting was Vladimir Bengin, Director of the Cybersecurity Department of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, who spoke on main stages and trends of the import substitution process in the field of information security.

Igor Lyapunov, Vice President for Information Security of PJSC "Rostelecom", spoke about the nature of cyber attacks on large companies at the current stage and about the main challenges in the field of information security for domestic business. He also congratulated the ICS-Club on its anniversary: "The ICS-Club has fairly proved itself to one of the expert platforms in the field of information security. Five years is a solid age for such an organization and the fact that during this time the interest towards the ICS-Club has only increased is an important indicator of its usefulness and effectiveness."

At the moment, the ICS-Club consists of 82 experts from 60 Russian industrial companies, including such giants as "Severstal", "ALROSA", "LUKOIL", "Gazprom Neft", "SIBUR", "Transneft", "TNK-BP", "OMK", "Rosneft", "Polyus", "EVRAZ", "PhosAgro", "Almaz-Antey" and others.

"We see the need in the Russian market for a confidential and professional dialogue between government agencies and industry, between vendors and customers of technological solutions, and the ICS-Club creates such an opportunity for its members. For the five years, the number of Club members has significantly increased: the participants of the first meeting represented the 11 Russian companies, now there are 60. We have a large list of "friends of the Club" - participants from related industries, representatives of government agencies, academia. "The ICS-Club regularly comes up with new initiatives and offers participants the most efficient expertise and the most convenient format of interaction," said Dmitry Grigoriev, Director of the ICS-Club.
